We decided to buy a new golf and the dealer without a deal being struck got the colour we wanted .Come have a look at it and no worries if ye dont purchase.Thats fine ,the car was what we expected but it had 11 km on the clock.I would expect to see 1\2 a km or less on a new car.I didn't say anything and told him I would sleep on it one more night and be in contact .Does a car with 11km come under DEMO or am I being too picky.

Is he taking much off the price considering there is 11 k on the clock?

11km is perfectly normal. It's going to come out of the factory, be parked up, moved for transportation to the dock, moved onto the ship, off the ship and moved to storage, storage then onto the dealer.

I used to work for a main dealer in Dublin 12. We used to go to NVD in Baldonnell and collect the cars and drive them back.
There was already about 2km on them and we'd add on another 10 or so.
I wouldn't worry about it tbh!
I'd be more worried about the deal you're getting ;)

11km would be pretty normal. My dad just bought me a new golf, it is amazing. If he has the car and colour you want in it I would definitely go for it.

11km lol. When I first read this I thought it was 11000 km. OP, your worrying about nothing. That is normal for a new car, the car has to be driven out of the factory onto a transporter, then off the boat. Dealers may give them a bit of a small test drive too, to make sure there they are running fine.

Perfectly normal. Every new car I've collected has had up to 20-30kms on it. In fact I believe the clocks can actually be reset a couple of times when the car's still in transport mode / less than 100km clocked up.
