    Hi guys

    How well does this perform?

    http://www.richersounds.ie/p-201287-samsung-hwj355xu.aspx

Need a soundbar with nice strong bass - compared to soundbars with bass drivers built-in, how does this perform?

which is better - this or the Roth II?

Hi Techmaster, thanks for your post.

The samsung is a great soundbar and with the seperate sub, gives a very good bass response also. Between it and the Roth, this would be the better for you, if a strong bass is a must. The roth does very well as a soundbar on its own but you need a seperate sub to give the extra bass

Unfortunately the Samsung soundbar is an in store item only, and can't be shipped out. If you are unable to call into the shop, you could look at the Sony HTCT80 - http://euro.richersounds.ie/p-201317-sony-htct80.aspx?swapstore=1 - at €198.99 including delivery

    Cheers
    Brian

The Samsung has a passive sub - would bass still be good on it?

Yep the bass is very good on this one, and you are able to adjust the bass independent from the volume control as well to set the bass exactly how you'd like it

    Brian,

Would both be good for dialogue-driven films also?

    Hi Tecmaster.

Both would do just fine for Dialogue.

As mentioned by Brian the Samsung is an in-store only collection.
