These bikes of my wife have not seen the light of day in over 10 years, they are long overdue being gotten rid of. They were bought new in the mid to late 90's.

First up is the Kona Lava Dome 9sp triple, I think it's 16" in size. The overall bike is in poor condition, but nothing that a good clean and service won't sort out, the frame and most parts are in good condition underneath the accumulated grime and cobwebs of many years of being stored in a shed. Tyres and tubes may be shot though, I've not actually put any air into them since digging it out.

Some notable bits: aluminium frame I think; Marzocchi Bomber 03 suspension forks; Deore LX V-brake levers and cantilevers; 26" wheels (quick-release rear, non-quick release front as that wheel was changed at some stage for some reason lost from memory).

    Asking price: 50euro

Next up is the Concorde. This is in better condition than the Kona, though also needs a clean and a service. I think it is a 50cm frame.

Notable bits: 50cm frame built with Columbus tubing (not sure which tubing though, a Google search might reveal that); chromed forks (some surface rust); 7sp drivetrain; double chainset; Cinelli 8cm quill stem; Cinelli 42cm handlebars; Shimano downtube shifters; Suntour rear mech; Biopace chainrings (ah, nostalgia!); Look pedals; Vittoria Tecno 23mm tyres (look unused actually).

    Asking price: 150euro

Tis probably a long shot but if you're near Cork or Kerry I'd take the Kona off your hands.

Do you know if the Concorde has 650 or 700 (size!) wheels?

    Where are you based?

@SomeFool, I'm not likely to be down that way for a while unfortunately. Sorry, I should have said I'm in Dublin.

    @531, 700C wheels, and I'm in Dublin 16.

I am not in Dublin but may be next weekend.

Do you know the year of the bike? Or the rear dropout spacing?

It was bought new in 1994 or 1995 (from Humphries Cycles in Finglas), but I don't know if it was a current frame at the time or new old stock.

I believe the spacing is 130mm.

    Split the difference - 140euro?

I think 50euro is a more than fair price. I'll even throw in a pair of used 26" x 1.5" Roadster tyres and tubes (plenty of life left in the tyres, not really sure about the tubes but seem okay), a used 26"x2.06" The Cleaner and a used 26"x2.06" Mr Dirt, plus tubes too.

And yes, the seatpost does move, amazingly well in fact (I checked just now), I've met hubs which don't move as freely!

Alright, 50, just could you please confirm if it's an alu or steel frame? There should be a sticker on the frame. Thanks.

Yup, the sticker was staring me straight in the face, it's a steel (double butted chromoly) frame.

Concorde seems great but I would need to see it. Maybe I could inspect when next in Dublin if not sold in the meantime. Thanks.
