Want to spend a couple of nights in Wexford in the next few weeks. We will have a small baby with us.
Considering the Talbot or Whites of Wexford but can't decide between them. Any additional information about the hotels or recommendations would be great. Thanks.

Both are very central. Whites has a bigger pool and a really good spa. I haven't stayed in either, but both would be similar standard from what I hear. Talbot is an older building. Outside of the town you have Ferrycarrig, good food, lovely setting, full leisure centre too, but a few miles drive in. You also have Riverbank over the bridge, extremely good food there, but a smaller hotel. It has no leisure centre but the (very good) public pool and gym and kids playground is literally next door.

Whites and Talbot both very nice. Talbot is a bit more old fashioned, but not dreary or anything, just been gradually renovated over the last few years. Gorgeous location right on the quay. Whites was gutted and done up completely in 2006, I don't like the location quite as much (down a side street and also right on the main street). Riverbank is also nice but a good bit smaller.

Not mad on the Ferrycarrig myself, think the food and restaurant are quite poor.

The Maldron lets kids run around the bar/foyer area like ferral cats in my experience, with parents happy to abandon them to it

Family run hotel , Whitford . Pool , Leisure Centre and food is excellent . Nice atmosphere in this place and short taxi ride into town . Highly recommend it,

Obviously the parents are the core of the problem, but the hotel have obviously identified their target market and facilitate it
