...I'm currently munching some crisps on processed cheese slices. I am the picture of healthful delight. It's yummy! :p
What's the weirdest combination of food you've come up with that you'd recommend?

Does it have to be 'my sugar'? Because... I don't know you that well..! :p

A mate of mine likes to get some butter on a knife and dip it into a bowl of sugar, probably going to kill him eventually, but he says it tastes lovely.

Yesterday I accidentally created the following magical combination..

Eat some Roses Caramel Barrels and then immediately suck an Orange flavoured Chupa Chup lollipop, making sure to get the caramel and chocolate all over the head of the lollipop whilst sucking.

Okay, I didn't invent the classic chocolate orange combo, but I invented this particular version of it.

One(ish) inch slices of Cheddar smothered in half(ish) inch slices of frozen butter and salt after a rat had committed the perfect crime by taking the innards of my loaf of bread but left the crust intact.

I've also had many a good night with a tub of Utterly Butterly and a spoon.
    Don't laugh, this isn't AH!

    Why frozen butter?
And, how did you come to create this combination with frozen butter? :p

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,231 ✭✭✭✭thesandeman

For some reason I had put the butter in the freezer compartment so the rat couldn't get at it.
I just sawed off slices of butter and put the cheese in between to make a sandwich.

Cheesy beans on toast...I can't take credit for it but it's one of the most wonderful things I've ever been introduced to. :D

Also drunken nights on Erasmus with no money for kebabs resulted in raiding the fridge when we got home for pre-sliced chorizo out of a packet, used as a kind of nacho to scoop out a big lump of Philadelphia cream cheese.....*drool*

I don't know if I invented this, it's just one of many variations of chickpea salad. Nevertheless, I'll take the credit for: chickpeas & barley, feta, diced tomatoes from the vine, lemon, natural yoghurt, and mint. Sometimes add bacon, in which case exclude the mint. Serve with crusty loaf and maybe some white wine. Delicious.

That particular dish is indeed 'yummy' but I can safely say that it was I,and not your good self that rightfully lays claim to the invention of this delicacy. Here's a tip, grill two Birdseye potato waffles until golden brown. While they cook, butter some soft fresh white bread.Place one waffle onto buttered slice of bread.Take two processed 'cheese food slices' and place on top.Place second potato waffle on top of this, and then add the final slice of bread to complete the sandwich. Finally, squash between clean hands and let sit on a plate for 30 seconds.Bon appetit.

You invented both them? Fair play...

Eh, I invented a concoction of smash potato, meatballs (tinned with gravy), and Tabasco sauce.

Also, mash and mcDonnells super noodles, mixed into a hellish concoction. It's every bit as nice as you'd think...

Oh another one I have regular... Porridge with milk, natural yogurt, honey and cinnamon. Sometimes, I'll swap out the honey for maple syrup
