I'm painting a few panel doors at the moment using water based paint.
I have primed all doors with two coats of crown undercoat/primer.
I painted one door so far with crown quick dry finish coat (water based gloss).
I find it very difficult to use as it dries soooo fast and therefore hard to get a good finish without smudges. I'm using a 2.5" synthetic brush.

Any tips on dealing with the rapid drying .
Should I change to a slower drying paint.

    Any help appreciated.
    Thanks

Add water to it. Or dip your brush in water prior to dipping into paint. Used to do it with Annie sloan paint

    Thanks for reply.
How much water would you add . For example how much water to a pint of paint ?
Will the paint be weaker when its diluted.

    Thanks

Cut in the door with the brush, then get a foam roller suitable for gloss and roll the panels. Should sort it.
