Shoes and cleats

Hi, I recently started using these and I find that after about 20k my feet start to get a bit numb. The fit seems ok, and I've tried tightening and loosening but it doesn't make any difference. I've also moved the cleats and the same result. i was out on Sunday and for a while I tried not to put much pressure on the downward stroke to take pressure off the sole of the foot which seemed to help, so I was mostly just rotating the pedals with forward and backward movement. Is this the correct way to use these shoes/cleats?

    Thanks,

Are your shoes the correct size? Make sure their not too tight. Also, search YouTube for "global cycling network" they have good tutorial videos on shoe/cleat setup.
