Just booked my bike on the intercity Dublin-Cork there. It gave me the choice of a few seats, do the seating plans actually allow you take the bike into the carriage with you? Is that correct?

From the plan I'll be sitting next to my bike facing another guy and a bike. I've never seen it on intercity before.

If its a Mk4 your bike will go in the front carraige before first class so you won't be sitting near your bike. If its an ICR it will have a bike rack at the end of the train with seats beside.
