Serious question, sex toy in hand luggage

Flying with Aer Lingus in a couple of weeks time. Is it ok to bring a sex toy in your hand luggage? I have looked online and some people say it's ok, others not. One forum I read said if it's bigger than 7 or 8 inches then it can be classed as a weapon 😳 luckily mine is smaller than that.

Has anyone had any problems with this?
    Thanks.

But so necessary that it has to come in hand luggage? Or on a trip that hand luggage only is sufficient for? Not sure how serious the OP actually is.

Myself and an x girlfriend were stopped in Heathrow with handcuffs. We were only 18. Mortified. She had to explain what she was using them for. So funny. Anyway they were taken off us by the security guard. He probably tied up his wife that Night the dirty fecker.

A week away with the other half.
I meant my carry on luggage, yes a wheeled bag. Apologies, should have been clearer

Years ago my girlfriend left a small case at luggage hold in Connolly Station while we went about town for a couple of hours.

The looks she got when she was collecting her case

    It was buzzing like crazy.
I swear to god above it was only an electric ladyshaver

Presumably because paying and extra 50 yoyo for a checked bag just so that they can have their preferred recreational tools at hand during a holiday seems OTT.

Seriously, most people going on a long weekend these days try hard (pun 100% deliberate) to avoid checked baggage.

Just surprised that it's an essential part of a holiday ;)

I've done this plenty of times. Just take out the batteries and nobody will say a thing. I left the batteries in once in Manchester airport, I was taken aside into a small room so my entire bag could be emptied out and searched. They were very nice about it, I guess it must happen quite often, but my face has never been so red.

Just bring it in your pocket and dump it into the tray at the security scanner along with your mobile, wallet etc. Don't break eye contact if the staff member looks at you.

If it was a dildo, then surely you could put it somewhere other than your hand luggage while going through security? Practice that walk first!

That would give everyone in the queue a serious show when you get stopped at the metal detector.

Could you not purchase a cucumber on arrival?

So he took YOUR handcuffs and he's the dirty fecker??

Serious point to the OP, to save any potential embarrassment at security, why not just buy a todge in Croatia to use and then leave it behind you? You won't have to look far in Zagreb.

Besides, think the of fun you will have (apart from the fun you will have) deciding what way to leave it embedded in the hotel room!

Very hard to find a battery powered ones, mains powered ones are just too clunky.

    Serious Answer:
Phone the airline you're travelling with & ask them if it will be permitted.

    Thread Closed.
    Thanks,
