    Hey guys,

I'm not looking at changing the car until next year. The above isn't the kind of car I had previously considered (it came up on a thread about a Japanese mid range executive saloon that is by far nicer/better/more exclusive than any German car that has a super Mark Levison Sound system, I dare not mention the name incase you know who appears 😄) and I thought it looked really nice.
    Does anyone know:
1)if they can comfortably fit 4 adults
    2) if the boot would fit a set or 2 of golf clubs
    3) what are they like for reliability and economy

    Thanks

    Blindside

Thanks very much for that. Do you know what the legroom is like in the back. Would it be comparable to that of a small hatchback?

I've been driving one for two years.

Headroom is fine - the front seats can be raised and lowered.

Part of the original brief was that the boot had to take golf clubs - so there's an extra wide bit in the boot.

Getting adults into the back is tricky enough -and the other half says there's little enough room. I've never been in the back!

Thanks very much for your input. I have a Passat at the minute and the missus has a Kia Cee'd. I don't really need a huge amount of space but it can be handy to be able to carry 4 people. How to you like the car in general and what would you consider the best and worst parts about it?

Sorry, should have said "rear" in my post!

It's a good-looking car - my family particularly like it. When I changed cars a couple of years ago, and had a budget for the replacement, there were virtually no cars where price, age and looks all fitted what I wanted. I didn't even know there was a Laguna Coupe until I was browsing on the net very late one night.

There are 4 seats, and you can get 4 adults into it, but I wouldn't think that a journey in excess of an hour would be any fun.

My main complaint about it is that it isn't the Honda Accord that I wasn't ready to finish with until the insurance company wrote it off! It has very big, heavy doors, and keeping them scuff-free isn't easy. You can't squeeze into tight parking spaces and then expect to get out - particularly from the back.

On the other hand the element of 4 wheel steering does make parallel parking a little easier. That same 4 wheel steering can leave you with the car partked at an odd looking angle when driving slowly into a normal car park space!

I'm not greatly enamoured by the lack of a spare wheel. I don't know how useful a tin of aerosol would be.

I wasn't aware that there is no spare wheel which is a bit of a pain

    They're a lovely looking car.
