Reverse Tab Possible?

    As the thread title suggests.can you set up a reverse Tab in a pub? So if you pay the bar 100€ or so in advance at the start of the evening can you be notified when it's been drunk away?

    You mean give them 100 euro and then when it's all spent up they let you know? I'm sure that's possible.

    Yes, I think that's a fairly common arrangement for funeral receptions and other celebrations in pubs.

    Whether a barman would be willing to do it for just one person, in a busy pub, I don't know. It seems like it would be bad business to refuse.

    Seems an easy enough idea. Only drawback is when you're having a great night you end up sticking the overspend on the bill since the bar knows you already. Just asking as I've seen a Tab for a friend that ran close to €1000 euro on his friends' drinks and a few meals in there. Suppose credit is nearly a better word for it.
