U came across this car this morning & I'm seriously considering it however it is not an OPC but it does have leather bucket seat with an unusual stitching & a panoramic room & 250horses.

Has anyone else ever come across this variant? It seems unique as far as my searches gave gone.

    Thanks all.

Vehicle offer: Opel Insignia Sportstourer Innovation 4x4 AT/LEDER/AH for 20950 EUR http://suchen.mobile.de/fahrzeuge/details.html?id=213775558

Variants of the OPC engine aren't limited to the OPC on the continent.

Those seats alone are 4k extra on Irish cars.

I can't be sure bit my search of Sri returns a 2.0 citi with 140ps. It seems to be a different animal altogether.

It's model is described as "innovation" & again search for this did not return anything similar. Image search.

The seats are quite nice but I'm not sure about the orange detail / logo on the back of the seats. It doesn't feel like an opel touch. Perhaps the seat are aftermarket?

Right, this is the innovation, I just found this (translated)

you will find information, pictures and technical specifications for the Opel Insignia 2.8 V6 Turbo Sports Tourer 4x4 innovation . The 5-seater has a gasoline engine with a displacement of 2792 cc divided on 6-cylinder. Its output is 191 kW (260 hp). In 7.2 seconds, this thus accelerates to 100 km / h. Another possibility is a top speed of 250 km / h. Opel indicates an average consumption of 11.2 l / 100 km, which corresponds to a CO2 emission of 263 g corresponds / km. In order for the car Opel Insignia 2.8 V6 Turbo Sports Tourer 4x4 innovation in the CO2 efficiency class (n) is classified.

I guess the seats are either aftermarket or konfigured selection by the 1st owner.

I seem to remember timing belt interval as 100,000km or 60 months. Would anyone have a ballpark on timing belt replacement cost. Or any tips on other big ticket service items on this car?

    Again thanks all.

No, its Nappa leather. Opel Ireland had a press car with them. I don't think that exact colour combo can be had here though. Obviously can in other markets.

Much nicer in the tan colour.

I checked the symbol on the seat backs (like a tick mark) apparently it is a reproduction of the body panel profile & it is from the factory. Who'd have thunk it?

So, I didn't buy this car in the end but I dud get a 325HP white estate with the panoramic roof - delighted as this was a prerequisite for me.

I got a good price with the knowledge that the brake discs & pads were near end of life.
So the next project is to procure & replace these myself. they are Brembo brand originally but I don't drive hard & there fore don't put heavy demand on the brakes so I reckon the originals are perhaps over specc'd for my style of driving.

So I'm looking fo rpotential vendors of good quality compatible brake pads & discs.
These guys keep popping up, any experience of these Guys or alternatives is appreciated.

Is this in Ireland? I'd imagine it'd be pretty much sale proof in the future if so.

Looks like a left hooker from the photos so presume it's on the Continent.

Pano roof was never available on RHD Insignia Sports Tourer's, for some strange reason.

Found that out when a German moved to Ireland and really wanted a Panoramic Roof on his Insignia Estate.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 251 ✭✭In the wind

    No, this is in Europe.
Correct this is a left hand drive.

My registration certificate states I cannot carry roof loads - this makes sense considering the glass roof however there are drilled rails running along the roof line which seems to be a contradiction. You can actually see the drillings(not through holes) in picture 191349 on the left hand side roof rail of the car.

anyway, I'm off on a tangent - I want to replace the brake pads & discs myself not necessarily with original Brembo part & I'm looking for vendor recommendations - anyone?
