    Probable line ups for today

    2B5F794B00000578-3191470-image-m-76_1439589881015.jpg

First big game of this new season. I think it will be a tense affair with neither team going all out.

    prediction 1 - 1.

    You're both hilarious.

    City should win this, 2-1.

I suspect this could be a cagey affair. However, I rarely, if ever, get anything right when it comes to football. So I'll go 4-2 to City.

Also, I think it will take less than 3 minutes for Sky to zoom in for a close-up of Chelsea's new medical staff.

    El Cashico.... Fúcking hell.

    Souness is correct.

Lets hope City do them. Silva to get two. 3-1 city.

I think it will be a draw as well. Probably a bit of a cagey affair.

El Cashico with $t€rling as the poster boy really fits this game well.

The game at Stamford Bridge is known as El Plastico when Chelsea fans bring out the plastic flags.

Reckon this will give United/Chelsea from a few years ago a run for it's money in terms of being sh!te, especially so soon into the season.

Hopefully City win, but can see it being a narrow Chelsea win. Typical Mourinho performance, with 10 Chelsea players in their own box for 89 of the 90 minutes and scoring with their only chance.

Also expect something controversial to be said/done by Mourinho to draw attention away from last week.

Comfortable 2-0 win for City I reckon.

Who gives a flying f#ck what he says or does to staff. The only clowns who have interest in that non story is sky sports on a poor news week and sun newspaper readers who thrive on that sh#t . He is the boss he will tell them what to do.... end of story. Of course you get the rival fans who latch on thinking its a big story but even know themselves nobody cares. Its so funny watching the crap news all week trying to make it headlines! Hopefully a Chelsea win or draw today.

If you posted on social media about an incident internal to your company and got sacked you could have no complaints imo.

This is the kind of week Mourinho thrives on. Chelsea win imo.

it's amazing how much rival fans latch on to this non-story to fuel their bizarre hatred of a manager

Tbf, no manager should have any say in what the medical staff do. Just like medical staff have no say in tactical decisions.

But the whole point is who the fu#k cares!! If someone is actually interested in that as a story then its quite laughable. And pretty sad. Sky are all over s#it like that cause that's what they love. Making a big deal from nothing roll on the match!

She done her job. Got punished for it. Thanked people for support on Facebook. Deserves to be sacked :rolleyes:. Then thanks to recieving all this attention for being punished for doing her job she has disgraceful front page headlines about her. If anything Mourinho should apologise.

You could have many complaints and a successful wrongful termination lawsuit against them, but this wasn't even internal.

If it's a non story, how do i know about the story? She's a professional medic. She's been demoted in her position because Chelsea weren't winning at the time and Mourinho lost the plot.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,363 ✭✭✭JohnDaniels

Chelsea XI: Begovic, Ivanovic, Cahill, Terry, Azpilicueta, Ramires, Matic; Willian, Fabregas, Hazard, Diego Costa

MCFC XI: Hart, Sagna, Kompany, Mangala, Kolarov, Yaya Toure, Fernandinho, Navas, Silva, Sterling, Aguero

Yeah but Mourinho is a genuis because everyone forgot they didn't win the match and aren't talking about that so the laws of mathematics in regards to the league table have been defied.

Its a much more important then what most of the articles are focusing on,

With all the stories about head injuries and and players being allowed to stay on even when they should be taken off, now the one person who should be diagnosing it to get it sorted as quick as possible, now has to check ok with to go do their job with someone whos only focus is on winning the game

Hmmm wonders if the Liverpool fan who named the thread would dub Liverpool v Man United similarly :D

The thing as well is, the referee called the medics on. That's the end of it, it has nothing to do with Mourinho anymore. There are no footballing tactics. Professional medics are attending to an injured player.

Mourinho is happy enough to have his players diving and feigning injuries when it suits him. Fine, that's part of tactics he uses to win football games, like all teams in any football match around the world. But's it tough sh!t when it goes against him.

To demote a professional medic because of it is out of order.

To call it a non story is deluded.

It would set a very dangerous precedent if a manager could dictate whether medical attention could be revived by a player depending on the score/time left in the game.

It was utterly bizarre, even for Mourhino and he such be derided for it.

Nobody was talking about the result last week at all. It suited Mourinhio down to a tee.

No doubt that doctor will be back on the bench again. Probably next week.

But do you know what would have made it a non story. If Mourinho didn't start jumping around like an ape on the pitch when he realised his medical team were attending to one of his injured players.

But of course, we're not talking about them not winning the game. 'Job done'. Genius.

This isn't some "masterstroke" from Mourinho, the result would have been forgotten about anyway. Other teams, namely Arsenal, had worse.

If it was all planned to deflect attention, how do you explain him getting visibly angry at the time?

I'm talking about during the week. The talk during the week was about a doctor, game wasn't even mentioned. Suits him down to the ground.

Trust me, I'm no fan of his. As classless as they come. He wins trophies though and that's what matters.

exceptional, lost the plot is glorious exaggeration. Frustrated is probably a word more sensible people would use!

That would be nice. However; if you offered me a scrappy/lucky/boring 1-0 win right now, I'd take it. Chelsea are masters at grinding out results in this sort of game. Can't see the game being a thing of beauty.

What delusions do I have? not really sure you've used deluded in the right context there.

Being frustrated that his team were less likely to score with less time on the clock is a normal reaction. Where did he say he wanted to dictate whether medical attention could be given to a player?

Complete non-story that the Sun and gremlins feed off.
