    Hi,

I have being saving for a while and now have money to invest in shares or ETF's.

I would preferably prefer a euro denominated ETF will small exposure to Foreign currency risks although I am open to the risk if the relevant ETF has good potential and proven track record.

Has anyone any thoughts on this? and invested in ETF's?

Also any share tips at the moment? Was looking at a number of energy/oil stocks because of their dividend payout but would you be worried about the future of their share prices? (maybe there are close to their bottom but you just wouldn't know)

I am willing to take the risk and have access to broker. I will only use a percentage of savings as good to have safe money also.I also have access to the funds on Rabodirect but looking at them not sure if their for me.

I look forward to your advice.

Have you considered an oil ETF .
Why oil companys, and not just oil?
An oil companys price can go to zero ,oil can't, it has an intrinsic value of around $35 a barrel ,value is a lot easier to gauge .
Hypotetically ,if you buy at $40,it has downside potential of $5 a barrel ,and an upside of $40$50$100 who knows ,just a thought ......

USO would probably the most popular oil ETF ,have a look .

    hi,

Thanks for your reply..Do you think ETF's are a good start on investing in stead of individual stocks.

What ETF's would you consider at this point?

Would it be better to invest in ETF that pays out dividends or reinvests the dividends?

    Thanks again for your reply
