    Hello,
Does having a wheelchair accessible WC at ground floor level only apply to new builds? I am doing some renovations on an existing house, and while I have a WC at ground floor level, its size is below the sizes mentioned in the building regs.

You cannot make it any worse, as this would be a contravention of Part M of the regulations.

Does the renovations involve the removal or moving the existing WC?
You can leave it the way it is, or put in a new accessible WC but it may not have to be the larger sized for current new homes.
