I have UPC but I was considering getting rid of UPC and getting a Free-View dish so I will not have the saorview channels any more as I don't have a saorview aerial and I was considering getting a saorview aerial too in the same room as the Free-View dish but my question is can you adjoin the Free-View dish and saorview aerial to the same cable or how does it work?

You can run both in the same cable, use a combiner at the dish/aerial, through the one cable and split it at receiver /tv.
