Folks, Looking for opinions on the above. Is the 1.25 Litre sluggish? It will be used for a 25km round trip to work no more then 3 days a week and a 40km round trip mostly on the motorway once a week or would I be better off with a 1.4 Litre engine ford fiesta? Would there be a big difference in the insurance premium between the 2. If there are any owners of this car out there what are they like in terms of comfort, reliability and performance. Also how big is the booth as I would be putting a road bike in the back. I understand the seats would have to be pushed forward and I would have to take the front wheel of it.

Depends which version it is, there is a 60bhp and a 82bhp version of the 1.25 litre engine. The 82bhp version is obviously more powerful and the one to go for. 1.4 litre petrol was dropped from the Fiesta when that model was launched back in late 2008. It was replaced with a 1.6 litre engine which sold in small numbers and 3 door only.

Try and aim for 2013 as the Fiesta got a facelift in late 2012 where it got the new redesigned Aston Martin type front grill. As for whether a bike will fit well I'd say you will have to bring the bike and try it for size but just remember it is a small car.

i have an 2011 82bhp and its quite sluggish i agree. If you need to take off in a hurry, it will let you down haha.
On higher speeds though it handles very well and doesn't struggle on motorway :-) but my 2006 fiesta 1.25 that i had previous i found much much MUCH more powerful somehow ?

Honestly, do you have to dig up multiple threads about the Ford Fiesta asking the same thing?
