Status in House

    Hi

    I have bought a house in the last year and I have put it down as not permanently occupied.  I see from the cap that unoccupied houses are capped to 125 EUR.

    I am living there when I return from mission overseas as I work for an Irish charity and the house remains empty while I am away.

    What is the true status of my residence and what is the real cap for this type of property.  At the moment I am the only adult living there when I am home.  I put down no residents when I registered as I did not know how to categorise this property nor whether I should be considered or not.

    Hi giboyle,

    Thank you for your query.

    We can certainly check the status at your residency, if you could please provide the following details by private message:

    - Name;
    - Address and
    - Contact number.

    A minimum charge for water supply and wastewater shall apply per service to domestic premises which are not permanently occupied. The minimum charge per service equates to 62.50 EUR. Domestic properties availing of both water and wastewater services would pay a minimum fee of 125 EUR, for more information on all water charges, please click here.

    Kind regards,

    Niall
