Chemotherapy

Relative has breast cancer. Met with oncologist 3 weeks ago and they said chemo appointment would be sent out in 2 to 3 weeks.

Still nothing. Anyone know how long the wait usually is.

Although the surgeon got all of the tumour during the lumpectomy and said chemo is preventative, she is anxious to get started. Mainly because sooner she's started, sooner it's over, but is also afraid of rogue cells that might be hovering around in there that will start to divide

I just saw this now - so hope you have received news of the chemo appointment since. If not though, she shouldn't be shy about giving the oncologist a ring. She'll get through to the secretary who will get back to her asap with an answer.
