Parking Fine

    Hi i got a parking fine there during the week but im getting a new car today and trading in the car i got the fine in. Just wondering if i should still have to pay the fine or could i leave it?

    Pay it. The car was in your name when the fine was incurred.

    If you don't, it will follow you around for the rest of your natural life.

    The fine is in the system and even if you crush the car it won't stop the process.
    It won't be the car summoned to court, it will be you.

    Parking fine cost: €40 (usually)
    Day off work to attend court + travel + ~€200 court fine for non-payment + possibility of 5 points if you were parked dangerously. Total cost: Probably about 10+ times the cost of the fine.
