    Living along a secondary rural road, there is six houses in a row with an acre seperating each house .... I have noticed that only five houses are marked/sprayed for metering .......... maybe they forgot?!........ ...... well..................weeks later .......... they where resprayed two days ago and again my neighbour was skipped is there a good reason for this ..... metering due to be installed today.

    Hi iasscarra,

    Thank you for contacting Irish Water.

    There are various reasons why your neighbour's property may not receive a meter.

    These include:

    - The outside stop valve may be situated on private property;
    - They may be on a shared connection;
    - They may be a mixed use customer

    Alternatively they may have a septic tank and private well, and therefore they would not be an Irish Water customer.

    If your neighbour would like us to investigate further they can contact us here, or they can speak to a member of our team on 1890 278 278.

    I hope this helps.

    Kind regards,
    Aaron
