Sending a letter to friend in Shelton abbey

A friend of mine has just recently being sent to Shelton abbey and I hear that they are really feeling low. I would love to send them a letter hoping to pick them up but don't have a clue how to go about it. If they are not in 5 weeks yet can they receive the letter and do I need a prisoner number to address it to?
