I have a long-established habit of making notes when I participate in a meeting, partly as a means of focusing my concentration, but mainly as an aide memoire. If I were called to serve on a jury, would the court take exception to such a practice?

No. They will give you a government issued notepad, which has to stay in the jury room at all times.

Due to budget constraints, youbhave to supply your own biro.
