    Hi there
I've been trying to get my dish up and running but no luck.

I have an android dish pointer and it seems to be ok from an azimuth point of view but I think its the elevation that's getting me.

Is there any simple things I should be doing?
Like the arm off the wall now is completely horizontal from my spirit level. And the other part of it is basically vertical too.

Should the lnb arm be horizontal to the ground too? Or the dish itself be totally vertical?
Are there simple tips like that
    ?

It's a standard sky dish mounted on the holes of a previous dish with good line of sight...
My sat box was working well on Astra 2 weeks ago b4 i moved house
    I'm in frankfield cork
    Thanks

    You are confusing yourself.

    Dishpointer.com

Put in 28.2 and your address and move the pointer to your location. It will give you a rough idea of where the dish should be pointing.

The elevation of the dish should be around 22.

Forget android pointers. Connect the box to the dish, put it on a pre-tuned channel like bbc, turn the volume up on TV. Swing dish little by little
