    Hello all,
I want to buy a pigeon magnet and have found one on line for €95 and made by Seeland. excluding battery and speed control.
Just wondering has anyone got one and how they would rate it

I don't know if it's the Seeland (probably not) but i got the magnet, decoys and battery at the last fair for €125. So leaving brand aside €95 (or the regualr price of between €125 - €175) seems a lot for just the carousel.

I got mine at the Borris fair, but it's not been on for the last year or two. The Birr fair is on at the end of this Month so if you're not in a panic hold off till then, have a look, and you might pick up a better deal.

I've a lightweight one a bought off a boards member but AFAIK it's not Sealand
It's ideal, light to carry and operates off a motor bike battery, presents well and hasn't let me down to date.
Haveing said all that, as above sometimes it will work against you and will deter birds. This year I've had great success with flock decoys and two bouncers. I have on the last occasion set up the spinner and a flapper on separate decoy patterns and have had equal success. As you know sometimes a couple of birds on the ground will invoke a frenzy and then other times every trick in the book just won't entice them in.
My advice for anyone starting out is to buy a dozen good shells, 1-2 bouncers and cut yourself a fist full of spokes from an old bicycle wheel and your in business, low Tec as it may be.
