A great idea I stumbled upon, you can use the DSPCA will making service online, and will also register it, as long as you bequest €500 to them in your will, decent enough I reckon, at least it is going to a good cause!

Just write out what you and others want to do in the event of death and sign it in front of a Garda who will be witness... Simples . I just saved you €500 .

Who holds that document? What if it's lost? Doing it outside solicitor sounds half arsed to me? I'm only asking here, I don't know the procedure

I think people are missing the point that it's free NOW. When you're dead, who cares about E500 quid....

My credit union (Artane Beaumont) offers free will writing, I'm not sure if it's in all credit unions though

If you don't cut your own hair, don't do your own Will. Go to a solicitor and put your charitable donations there. Or set up a direct debit now and leave it out of your will.
