Wolves down 0-1 to Newport. Ouch.

1-1 now Dicko to the rescue. Wolves have conspired to exit at the first stage in the last two seasons.

Oxford Utd thrashing Brentford 3-0!

Nice win for Barnet over Millwall in extra time at the Den. Millwall were in the Championship last year and Barnet the Conference so that's a pretty decent scalp

Poor old Blackpool couldn't rotate their squad as they don't have one, they are destined for league 2 the way things are currently. Cobblers played well apparently but hard going for Seasiders at the minute.

So they had their first team playing ? As a Northampton fan you should be celebrating that win :D

2nd round games tonight and tomorrow.

Sky have gone with Luton v Stoke tonight and Barnsley v Everton tomorrow. Hard to see either being cupsets though. Luton have started poorly and Stoke don't lack options.

Pressure on for Wolves with just 4 points in Championship and scrapping through the first round.

I went to both legs of the last time Wolves met Barnet in the league cup.

Barnet beat Wolves 2-1 at Underhill before going down 5 - 0 at the Molineux (including a hat-trick from Steve Bull).

Unfortunately Barnet have been drawn away for tonight's game.

Was Steve Bulls cousin Gary Bull playing for Barnet that night by any chance ?

Good question !- no he'd long gone at that point. Shame, he was a great striker in his day a real pity that the move to Forest didn't work out for him.

Sunderland are muck. They've flirted with relegation this past couple of seasons, but this could well be the season they go down. They're leaking goals at an alarming rate. 3 in one half against Exeter is shocking, reserves or not (haven't seen their line-up).

Exeter City (unless I've missed out on a joke which is entirely possible)

Villa are looking like the big cupset of the evening at this point down to Notts County 2-3

Watford are one down and a man down.

    Sunderland 5-3 now.

    Wolves 2-1

Yep, as things stand a certainty to go down IMO. Of course it might look a bit different if 2 or 3 proven quality players come through the door, but if not Advocaat will (rightly) walk and we're done. The warning signs have been there for years and not taken by the board.

Scarily, that was our first choice team last night apart from Billy Jones and Jeremain Lens.

Switched over to the Everton game. Sounded like an absolute cracker over 90 minutes. Extra time should be fun.

Proper cup tie, Everton with about 30 shots to barnsleys 3.

    And then there's Joel Robles!

I hope your boys stay up. Speaking to a couple of friends who were at Wembley a couple of years back, they were very complimentary about your fans.

I don't like agreeing with Yorke; I find him incredibly irritating. But he's right. Villa have been woeful tonight. Agreed, it's not their strongest line-up. But, given the poor results the first choice side have been getting this season, tonight was the perfect opportunity for the fringe players to stake a claim.

    Fixtures tonight and tomorrow.

    TODAY
    Everton v Norwich
    Hull v Leicester
    Sheff Wed v Arsenal
    Stoke v Chelsea

    WED 28 OCT 2015
    Liverpool v Bournemouth
    Man City v Crystal Palace
    Southampton v Aston Villa
    Man Utd v Middlesbrough

I'm going for a Premier League clean sweep with the only tricky ones to call the Chelsea Stoke game which I'm going for an Stoke win and Hull Leicester which I think Leicester will win despite being away.

The 1/4's in this will be tough if those are the correct results.

Stoke are a pretty good team to watch. Tidy passing team under Hughes. That strike force of theirs could do with upgrading.
