When i turn on the blower air comes out of the 3 vent but the driver side vent has nothing. I took out the nossle (?) To see if the flap was stuck but moves grand. There is no air been blown through pipe behind it. Ideas?

    2002 ford focus

Ok so the nossle connects to a pipe which has fallen a couple of mills. If i raise it it works but it drops again wen i put vent back in. Is there a way other than duct tape to secure it?

The pipe is probably just supposed to snap on?
    Does it look broken?

Duct tape/electrical tape is probably cheapest option for you.

Have it held up with electrical tape for now, half working. I can't see it being broken but not sure. I don't know where the connection for the clip or whatever to snap on is

My 2001 Focus has this issue, also. There are 4 on the dash, 3 work fine, it's the one on the right of the dash that doesn't work on mine (same one?). Haven't been bothered even trying to fix it to be honest, but when i googled it a few people on ford forums were saying a tube or something can break or clog, I think.

It was a while ago that I read about it and I wasn't too fussed. If it turns out to be handy enough sure let me know! :p

Its an easy enough make shift fix, If its same prob as mine. Us a screw driver to pop the vent, pull it out. Turn on fan and lift the hose up, that'll tell ya if its just not lined up properly. Then just secure it.

wasn't bothered about it either but it will be handy to have to blow onto right hand when cold weather comes back :P

When you say hose, are we talking about a big circular plastic 'tunnel' of sorts? Looks like a downpipe for guttering :pac: and is the same circumference as the actual fan itself on the dash?

(when i head 'hose' i was picturing something like an actual garden hose that clipped into place).

I just pulled mine off after reading your comment and, sure enough, if that's what were talking about it, it had just fallen down a bit. Took about a minute to fix it. Delighted with that, I must admit! :D

Ha ya sorry. great to be fixed. Did you find an actual clip of just tape it?

I lifted the "hose" up and it just kinda sat in place. It looked like it was possibly leaning on another component in there? So I put it in a 'correct' position and it seemed to just sit there of its own will, with resistance from whatever it was leaning on lower down. Then I just pushed the fan back in until they lined up.

Couldnt see any particular way of clipping it in, and I've no idea how you'd reach in there to tape anything up (unless you glued it, but i reckon you'd be creating more problems than you'd be solving).

I'm sure it'll fall down again at some point but it seemed to be okay.
