Scuba Holiday Suggestion Sought

    Hi,

I'm hoping to do a beginners Scuba dive course as part of a holiday. Maybe Sharm el Sheikh (though not sure that's as safe as it used to be) or Indonesia.

I'll be travelling on my own so I would ideally like to hook with a group travelling from here or join up with one abroad.

Or maybe I would be better getting some fundamental training here first?

    Any suggestions appreciated.

    Thanks.

If you have time, do the PADI Open Water Diver course here in Ireland before you go.

Learn to dive competently in the (relatively) cold and dark waters of Ireland, and you'll be able to dive anywhere.

Whereas if you learn to dive where it's really warm and clear, Irish waters will faze you a bit when you get back.
