A scrap yard may only give you €100 or €200 for your car.. You are probably better off putting it on donedeal.ie and you may get extra for it!

Just make sure in the ad you have decent pictures and honest information (if something has to be done to the car, mention it).

anybody got any recommendations for a scrap yard that will take away, give me few quid as well as an end of life cert? I've got a 2001 volvo S40 that i want to get rid of.

    Does it run?
    Or is the engine knackered.
If latter scrap it. If it still runs and needs a bit of minor work, pop it up on done deal for a few hundred

As said, put it on donedeal and adverts with some pics and someone will you offer you a little bit of money for it.

Remember that if you sell car privately then it is you that send the signed logbook to Shannon.
Do not give logbook to buyer.

Mhh yes I know for donedeal, but my car registration is French. It's more easy for me, to put my car in a scrap yard. But it's ok for 200€. I have already prepare all the administration papers for that. The glasses (conductor) is broken, and I don't want to repaire that. So if you know a good scrap yard.. I'm ok, because the end of my insurance is for september.

    Thanks

This is a list of scrap yards in Dublin
    http://www.sdcc.ie/services/recycling-and-waste/waste-regulations/end-of-life-vehicles

These places will not give you any money for car.
You give them car and the logbook, they will give you a end-of-life certificate and crush the car.

A call to this place might be worth it. They claim to pay and arrange collection if needed. I don't know anything about them but they're top of the Google search.

Guys, I'm wondering where (except donedeal and adverts) I could sell for a few quid slightly bumped (but complete i.e. electric, glass etc) car door? Car scrapyards will take it or I should rather think about ebay (or donedeal)?

What car is it for? Might be worth putting it on adverts for a week or so and see how it goes.

If it's for a civic or an integra or some something along them lines an owners group on Facebook wouldn't be a bad choice

There's a few different groups on Facebook Honda Parts IRL would be a good choice there's more then one under that name but the larger ones have upwards of 10k members. I've gotten rid of plenty of parts on them
