To begin I have mayo moutain and suffolk x ewes .

1.Which ram (belclare or texal) would be best suited to these ewes?
    2. What are the advantages/disadvantages of these?
    3. Are they both easy lambing?

Will really appreciate all your help. Cheers:confused:

    You have maternal ewes.

Texel are a terminal breed, far more suited in my opinion. Are you lambing out?

Texel - Ads - Good Terminal Lambs, finish well. Dis - ??
Belclare - Ads - big lamb crop Dis - big lamb crop, no singles

Use a suffolk, kerry hill, cheviot or Horned ram for replacements.......

Texel. Belclare would leave you a lot of crabby lambs.. Suffolk would be the best all round ram for you?

Yes in general your ewes should have plenty of lambing ability anyway.
