Forgot to pay toll, now I can't.

    Driving from Belfast last Monday we drove through the toll on the M50. I completely forgot to pay the toll, only remembered it today. When I went on line to try and pay it I couldn't. It keeps looking for a journey reference number, which I don't have and I haven't received any letter yet.

    Have I to wait for the letter or is there another way to pay?

    Give them a call is your best bet. From previous threads here they're fairly reasonable if you explain the situation.

    Might also be worth setting up a video account with them or investing in a tag for the future. The latter will also work on any other tolled motorway (M3/M4/M7 etc)

    I emailed them before as I was charged but had paid for 2 trips before I went it didn't recognise and they fixed the charge.

    They are good as other poster said people genuinely forget and they do get that.

    I done same as you op and paid 12 onto payzone. So covered fine
