    Hello chaps,

After my first week of successful vaping and avoiding cigarettes I would like something a little better and with a longer battery life than my vivid vapours starter kit (which I have been very happy with)

I would probably prefer something stick like and not too big as it will need to travel around with me although not in a pocket.

I would also like to buy in Ireland or the UK but am struggling with a lot of the online shops as they don't appear to have much choice or perhaps you could point me in the direction of websites with a comprehensive selection.

So can you guys recommended a setup and place to buy please, also I would like a battery/ies that come with or I can buy a wall charger as usb charging through computer doesn't really work for me and I've read that you shouldn't use phone chargers!

    Many thanks.

    M.

    What is the budget?

E smoke Ireland and thebestshop are two Irish vendors that have done me well. You can get discount codes for them too.

And some people on here might be able to give you good recommendations of a walk in shop depending on what general area you are in.

I suppose I didn't think of a budget, is up to €100 realistic?

As for walk in shops there isn't one within 50 miles of me. Unless there's one I don't know about in Kenmare?

    100 is plenty.

The first option is an iStick 30W with a nautilus mini or eleaf GS Air

    iStick 30W

    the best shop

    iStick 40W

    the best shop

    ESI

    iStick 50W

    the best shop

    ESI

    Nautilus Mini

    the best shop

    and the coils for it

    the best shop

    Eleaf GS Air

    the best shop

    ESI

    and the coils for it

    the best shop

    ESI

Which wattage iStick you would choose would depend on how future proofed you would like to be when you want to switch to a bigger tank. Going big from the start is the best option I would suggest.

    Option 2

Just get one of these sub ohm tanks, they are pretty good kits, lots recommending them, I have two myself. These ones need a separate battery to be purchased, but this can be a good thing, as you can have a few batteries charged and switch them out as necessary. These are like 80e, plus a few quid for each battery, but are solid. They can be got for less than 50e if you want to order from china and wait 3-4 weeks for delivery if they aren't caught for customs charges.

    ESI

    Battery

They can be used with sub ohm and normal coils, so if you want to start off normal then move onto bigger clouds etc it is all in one kit. Just choose which type of coil ohm you want

As for near Kenmare. I think there is a store in Tralee, don't know about Killarney. Other than that, Cork.

I haven't used them so cannot say, other may know more about the area.

    Best value is online.

The istick 40W also has temperature control, which is something that will probably be the norm in a year, but as of yet, it is early days. So might be a good thing for the future.

A lot will probably say the istick and nautilus/gs air are best for starting off, but since you already seem to be set on vaping, I would advise going for the Subbox kit. And using the 1.5 ohm coils for a while before moving onto the sub ohm ones if you wish.

Probably best to have a look on youtube for some reviews and it may help you make up your mind.

Just to say aswell, there are other irish online sites to choose from. I only recommended the two I use. You can get a 10% discount on ESI using the code 'boards' at check out.

There is a code for thebestshop too but I can never remember it.

I'd definitely recommend this set up, great price and performance especially if you're starting out

Although there are sub ohm kits that are easy enough to use, as a beginner I personally wouldn't recommend getting one, get the hang of the basics first

Edit: some great advice there above, not trying to knock ya

Thanks a million for the advice.

With the isticks how long should a battery last or would I need two units for day to day use?

    Thanks again for the help.

20w/30w about a day, more if you don't use it like crazy and 50w I get 2 days at least

Just regarding the charging too as you asked.

The isticks come in either full kit or normal. The full kit I think include charger, just check the description when buying.

Regarding using a phone charger, if you have a big ass phone or tablet, they usually have a decent charger and may be useful. That's how I normally charge mine up.

A basic phone charger would take ages to charge and the same with charging via laptop/computer.

The isticks and subbox also allow pass through, this means you can use them while still connected up and charging. Most people avoid that though, it puts more stress on the batteries.

There is a 20w istick but its best to get one of the larger ones. The threads on the 20w where the tank connects into wore out quick for a lot of people. Its something they have fixed on the others that were released after.
