I got new chain fitted to bike and I try to keep it clean. I use kitchen wipes or baby wipes and afterwards lubricate the chain but I notice the chain always feels dry and sticky and am wondering should I use something else to clean the chain instead of the wipes I mentioned above. Any opinions?

Im using stuff I got in dealz - I think its comparable to muck off. Its €1.50 for a big bottle. It's a degreaser of some sort. I use paintbrush and give a chain a real good clean, rinse it with water, then I take clean rag and dry the chain - if there is no black marks on the rag it means chain is clean. Then I apply the lube and wipe the excess. I repeat it weekly if I cycle a lot or in bad weather.

Also forgot to add that while cleaning the chain I clean cassette, chainset and rear + front mech and the rest of the bike.

Give it a good wash with a brush, water and washing up liquid. Dry it as best you can by running it through a cloth and oil.

    What oil do you use?

I use TF2, I think the problem is after I cleaned the chain with the wipes I should then rinse the chain with water and afterwards dry it before applying the oil.

Depends on the wipes. Again, there's plenty of nooks and crannies you won't get to on the chain with baby wipes so that's why I scrub with soapy water.
