    Folks,

the cowboy who was on my roof left around 50 puntures in the felt, all over the shop. The roof is finished and I am now going to attempt to repair these from underneath.
Has anyone done this or does anyone know of a good method of doing it?

    Many thanks in advance.

    Jim

    Is it leaking?

no soccer its not.But I dont trust the roof 100% in places and when its all covered up with insulation and plasterboard as I intend doing, it will be very difficult to do or see anything. So I will repair it now as best I can.

You've 2 options, rip slates/tiles off and redo it again properly or try and fix from underneath. If you go for the latter then your first line of defense wasn't done right either if it leaks. If you do choose to fix from underneath I'd go with tech7 expanding foam(small amounts) or tech7 sealent. Both will work but won't last forever.

    thanks soccercrew,

if using the tec 7 sealant, is anything else needed? Like a patch or something?

    Cheers

This guy claims flashband and a hair drier will sort it for good.

looks good but I notice the felt is the old black type. will this work also with the new thin green fabric like felt?

Tape them up with air tightness tape, it's great stuff for fixing breather felt.
