    Hi everyone.

I just realised that the sewage treatment unit is not making any noise anymore.

Is this a sign of a problem or is this normal.

If my memory serves me correct I used to hear a humming noise from it.

see attached pictures of the setup, the big mound the size of swimming pool has vents either side, i presume this is where the water runs off to?

    Thanks for help

    Sorry for half thread robbing.

The reason you cant hear a noise is there is something wrong with your air pump.

Air is pumped into these to help with the agitation etc.

My air pump went over Christmas and trying to find a new one. I've my eye on one on amazon but need to know about the pressure.

Anyone know about the different pressure for these?

Why don't you get the make and model number off the air blower pump, and Google it? Or ask the original supplier for the details (my Mother has a Kingspan Bio Unit unit and I got them to provide me with manuals, drawings etc.)

There's no doubt about it but Google is a great thing altogether. I managed to locate details of the air blower on my Mother's Kingspan unit (cause I know what it looks like). Its a Nitto LA60 Blower. Then I found a great video on YouTube on how to service it : http://www.nitto-kohki.eu/en/products-en/pumps-a-compressors/air-blowers/item/la-60-b.html . It shows how to change the air inlet filter, the cylinder rings, clean the nozzle and check the system.

So before you decide to replace the blower why don't you do some simple checks.
