Moving back into house

    Hi,

Our landlord has just sent us a message to say she is going to be moving back into the house we are currently renting, she has given us 42 days to find a new place to rent.

We have been in the house almost two years.

We have no issue with the notice or anything, she has every right to move back into her own house but we were wondering if we have any right to extend the 42 days given to us? Given the rental markets current state it is an extremely hard time to find a new place and we don't want to be rushed into taking a new place just because of time pressure.

Do you have a fixed term lease? If not, she's done everything correctly and doesn't have to extend the notice period, although you can always ask!
