    Anybody heard of Warble Fly around. I have heard of 2 confirmed cases in dairy herds.

    They are in west cork, saw two of them lately.Apparently they have spread down the Atlantic coast according to my vet. Invertamin based pourons will kill them and their eggs

    During the early 80's my BIL (AO) used to visit farms and dose cattle for Warbles. The pour on used to smell like rotten cabbage. I think it was Youngs but I could be mistaken. I think the smell was due to the organophospates that was in the pour on.
    A few years before I witnessed a neighbour popping a warble from a cows neck. Horrible things.
