Grad dress advice!

Hi everyone,

I've been considering buying the below dress for my grad:

I think it's beautiful but I'm unsure about the colour. I usually go for quite strong colours but am looking for something more subtle for the occasion. I love this dress but I'm not sure what colour it really is and if it looks too bride/bridesmaid-y? It's cream apparently, but the metallic overlay bits look kind of gold in this picture.

I really don't want to look like a wannabe bride so I'd love some opinions. Similar dresses exist in other colours but I keep coming back to this one. Help!

ETA: I'm also considering this one, which is more or less gold version with sleeves.

They're stunning dresses, but my only concern is that they look very bridal. If you wanted to wear cream, I'd suggest a less-embellished dress.

If you like strong colours, stick with strong colours. You'll be wearing a robe for part of the graduation anyway, so that will cover up some of the colour.

That's what I was worried about. It's not that I want to wear cream, the opposite really, I just love the style of the dresses. As I said, similar exists in a couple of other colours, but I'm not crazy about them. Thanks for the opinion!

I'd have to agree. They look like tea length wedding dresses!
