20th Annual Trip to Tipp Weekend of Cycling 15th & 16th August 2015

    It’s that time of year again - time to hop on your bike and join Billy Shanahan and the rest of the gang for the Trip to Tipp Weekend of Cycling in aid of NCBI Working for People with Sight Loss.

    We hope you can join us on 15th & 16th August as we celebrate the 20th Anniversary of this very special cycling event which this year features new routes and a brand new Trip to Tipp Cycle Jersey.

    As always, there will be a number of cycle options over the two days to suit all levels:


    Saturday 15th August

    12:00pm The Three Counties Tour
    Departs from the Sarsfields GAA Centre Thurles at 12:00pm
    There are two options on offer the Annual 70KM route and a slightly more challenging 100 KM Route

    12:30pm Family Fun Cycle 14km

    The family fun cycle departs from the Sarsfields GAA Centre Thurles at 12:30pm


    Register online or register on the day - €12.50


    Sunday 16th August
    On Sunday there will be three routes on offer, 140KM, 100KM & 80KM

    The Grand Tipperary Tour 140KM
    The Grand Tipperary Tour departs the Thurles Sarsfields GAA Centre at 9:45am
    The two notable climbs on the 140km route are Dolla and the Glen of Aherlow


    The Glen Of Aherlow Challenge 100km & Scenic Tour of Tipperary 80KM

    Both these routes depart the Thurles Sarsfields GAA Centre at 10:15am


    Special online offers for the Weekend of Cycling
    2 Days Cycling €45 or 2 Days Cycling & Cycling Jersey €65
    1 Day Cycling or 1 Day Cycling & Cycling Jersey €45

    All participants will receive a goodie bad and Certificate of Completion.
    All Routes will be marshaled and there will be a food stop and water stop also on every route

    Wondering which one of these to do on Sunday 100k or 80k. Don't really like main roads and traffic. Which of these routes would offer quieter roads?

    Also what % of people do the 100k vs 80k
