Credit union details for electronic transfers?

Hey I'd like to setup my cu account on my online banking to make regular payments into it. Is the IBAN and BIC enough for them to know that it's coming from me to my cu account or do I need to include my account number in the reference details?

Depends on the Credit Union, contact them

You usually have to put your CU account number as the reference, especially if the Credit Union are not enabled for CUSOP.

As 28064212 said, just call them up and ask

I have it set up with my credit union. I setup a standing order with the credit unions BIC and IBAN details and in the "receiver message" line I put my credit union account number and my name. I'd ring them just to confirm how they do it.
