Hi - can someone please advise which one of these are the best to stay in just before Christmas. I'm looking for the most accessible to the city

Our requirements will be dinner & a few drinks around the city till about Midnight.

    Maldron
    Pilo
    Clybaun
    Connacht

    TIA

    Pillo or Connacht for me.

    I'd go with Connacht.

Pilo or Connacht are closer to the centre. Walk in to centre (mile or so) or short taxi ride.

You'll probably need a taxi to all locations

    Pilo is 1.4km

    Connacht is 2km.

(both google maps measurements .. a bit ish)

Might walk in to town for dinner, but I'd be taxi-ing back to both.

Others are a lot further out, Maldron isn't even inside the city boundary.

I'd walk from the Pillo but I wouldn't fancy the walk from the Connacht.

Both have bus stops right outside though. Very quick to the city centre.

I'd choose either of those over the Clybaun or the Maldron.

You might also want to consider the recently opened Nox hotel which is next door to the Pillo.

I would highly recommend Park House.
The service is superb, and the food is top notch.
