Does anyone know anyone that has worked with them before?
Id be extremely interested in applying for the job but i wondered if anyone on here had any inside info on what their like to work for etc etc

I heard from lads applying with them years ago, that having a paddypower account mightn't be in your interest.
But they were very good to work for.

A lad I know did this and he hated it. He said the worst part about it is the stack ranking (all employees are graded against each other) and the intense pressure to make more money than your peers on events. For the firm he was with, this meant that senior traders got their pick of the events they wanted to trade, while new traders were left with scraps. Basically, the best performing traders get the best opportunities, so it's very hard to break into that circle.

A friend of mine works in one of the shops (think he might be some sort of a junior manager these days) and he loves it. Complains about how busy it gets during the big meetings, but on the whole he says they're great to work for in the shops (not sure where the trader job would be based)

For what it is worth, and without giving anything away, | was once on the verge of getting a job as a racing trader with an irish firm on the proviso of HR approval but failed it on corporate fit.

A friend of a friend worked their before and he told me that they prefer not to hire gamblers. So if you have a paddy power account it might rule you out.

I'm a racing trader with them and they're a pleasure to work for.

Any truth they don't hire anyone with an account with them? I'm thinking of applying but have an account a good few years.

No truth in that at all. It's fine to be a gambler but preferably a profitable one!

Nonsense about them ruling you out due to having a PP account. They encourage an interest in gambling. Huge betting goes on with employees there on other sites. Obviously can't bet with PP if you're an employee.
