    Hi,

I thought that IW were not going to be installing water meters into apartments, however, for the entire day today and I guess tomorrow as well, GMC Sierra are digging right outside my apartment.
They are digging directly outside my front door, partially blocking it.
I also received no notice whatsoever of this planned works.

    Is this correct?
I have been in touch with some IW advisors already, but no one was willing to answer whether they are in the right area or not, and why they are installing water meters in an apartment block.

    Thanks,

    Bandit0

When work has been approved for an area notification will be sent two weeks prior to when the work is scheduled for. We do endeavour to notify each area of works but due to changes in schedules this may not always be possible.

If you have any further queries, please don't hesitate to ask.

    Kind regards,
    Kim

    Hi, thanks for your response.

As I have already mentioned, I have discussed this matter with a number of your associates already.
    They do not seem to be giving any answers on my specific issue, so I was asking abroad one;

As a rule, are you installing in apartments?

I believed that no matter what, you were not putting water meters in apartments, instead, sending us a flat fee.

I'd greatly appreciate an answer to this.

    Thanks,

    Bandit0

I believed that no matter what, you were not putting water meters in apartments, instead, sending us a flat fee.

The local Water Departments carried out a preliminary survey and updated Irish Water advising of compatibility for meter installations.

We have previously metered apartments where the outside stop valve (OSV) serves solely one property.

During phase one of installation programme, apartments on a shared connection will not receive a meter. An unmetered bill will be issued.

If you would like to send the details previously requested, we can look into this matter on your behalf and also follow up on the lack of notification provided.

    I hope this information helps.

    Kind regards,
    Kim
