How did you get my details?

Please could you respond on how you received my details without my consent?

I certainly wont be providing you with details if you request them here because that would be providing you with my details.

I would just like to know how you generally received my details without my passing them to you, what is your normal practice?

    Hi irishfreeview,

    Thanks for contacting us.

Irish Water has collated information from a number of sources to produce a customer database. This is pursuant to section 26 of the Water Services Act 2013.

As this information has come from various sources, it would not be possible to state the exact source from which your data was retrieved.

I hope this helps. Should you have any further queries, please don't hesitate to ask.

    Kind regards,
    Allanah

Your sources are wildly inaccurate, my address is wrong and I DO NOT have a connection to either a public water or waste water supply yet I keep getting bills for services that are not supplied. Best of luck to ye trying to collect on that.

To ensure you do not receive any further bills from Irish Water, we would recommend you call 1890 448 448 and we can rectify this immediately for you.

However, if you do not wish to call, please send the following details via private message and we can assist you further:

    - Name;
    - Address and
    - Contact Number.

    Thanks in advance.

    Kind regards,
    Kim

How do you expect them to do something about it without knowing who the complainant is?

It's the same answer for everyone.
They quasi-legally (at best) stole our information from non-public databases.

Can you tell me the logic of your thinking.

How can Irish water rectify the mistake if they don't have the ops details

It's people like you who make the anti water people a laughing stock.

    Keep digging lol

    Well, laughing stock am I?
That's nice. Enjoy paying your third bill for water - to a company who breached DPA to "acquire" your information.

There's no mistake, they stole large numbers of addresses and names en masse and billed everyone.

Its you who 'riced' through the thread. irishfreeview wasn't prepared to give his details and was looking for general information, which he got.

A different poster, Bagenal, said he isn't a customer. Obviously IW can't update their records without knowing whose record to update.

They didn't really steal any info as the government brought in new legislation to make it legal, no?

Again if the op is not supposed to be getting bills. Then how the he'll are Irish water supposed to rectify it without the details if the op is correct in what they say.

Just don't give them the colour of your front door. You'll be safe then.
