In the 2nd floor of our house, we get this rhythmic, repetitive faint crunching sound which seems to come from within the inside of an exterior wall. The other side of the wall is covered in Ivy so I first thought it may just be snails having a feast giving the weather we are having. But it's only coming from a certain point in the wall, and only at night, and it's quite faint and rhythmic. It doesn't appear to be mice as it's continuous and repetitive. Is there any other pests that can cause that (do we really have termites in Ireland), or is there anything else I should be thinking of?
