Nope you need to shop around and contact every company and broker you can.

As your car is coming up to 15 years old some will refuse to insure it.

No, every company will target a different customer base every day of the week. All you can do is ring every insurance company and broker in the phonebook.

Insurance is not priced off a fixed menu. Prices vary from person to person depending on the level of risk the individual insurance company applies, so there is no real way for anyone here to tell other than you spending an hour or two ringing around the various insurance companies and brokers.

Cheers guys and yes 3 companys refused to insure my car despite it having nct.Sure that's like saying the nct is not doing their job it shouldn't really matter how old a car is as long as it has nct. anyway is there any chance of me getting insurance for 2000 Eur or less if i shop around like u guys said

Thanks for the previous threads guys like I said all help much appreciated

None of us can tell you that it's unlikely but might happen

My insurance last year was €1800 on the same spec car. That was on a provisional license through first Ireland brokers.

My instructor priced it for me with first Ireland brokers too this year with the specs mentioned in the first thread and they said it'd cost 4000 can u believe that 4000 for a first time driver with full licence insurance has risen by 30% and there are way too many claims tbh I think I'll just forget about driving until I'm 19 or 20 too dear
