I guess this Tuesday will be the day for some high-vis policing.

How will they collect the fines from all the foreign tourists on Dublin bikes?

In the same way as foreign cars, that don't pay tolls on the M50, or foreigners, who are caught speeding.

How will they collect them from anyone who has no ID nor money?

This has been well covered in another thread. The fines are NOT collected by the issuing Garda, at the time of the offence,

You're probably joking, but for the sake of clarity:

Despite the misleading impression given by the Garda leaflets, you CANNOT be fined for not wearing hi-viz or helmet. Neither is legally required.

Yes but some of the answers given were considered to be false information by the Gardai (mods) and the devices of the culprits were siezed.

Did you take it too literally? I read his post as high visibility policing, not policing of high visibility equipment.

Don't need another thread on this. OP if you have something to own up to you can use the existing thread on FPNs
