I could be way off the mark here but 20/1 on Rakaan is absolutely massive in the last at Lingfield tomorrow and I would have even backed him at about half that. Form figures aren't too inspiring but he is seriously well treated and was a smart horse when he was younger, and has some good form over this course and distance with his last three wins coming here, a claimer back in March and a handicap last December off five pounds higher with a load in hand (well backed) and won a year previous off a mark of 80. Now down to his lowest ever mark of 60 he's well drawn and dropped into a class 6 I'd be disappointed if he didn't go well each way and I've backed him accordingly.

On another note Yeager worth backing in the last at Goodwood 10/1

Money's down, top price 2/1 now, as short as 6/4 in places

Backed Barnet Fair last time when the ground went against him, will need luck in running here but he always comes to hand at this time of year and I think connections will have him primed to run a big race

I've done an e/w double with Spirit of Zeb in the 7.45 as well (at 7's). Only a small one...but it's be nice if they landed!

Central square, rakaan, big disappointments. Lads for every good day i say we have 5 bad ones. The little profit made in galway is now gone. In the long run its the bookies who win. For now i am taking a break. Best of luck to those who persevere.

I'd hardly call a close second and a close 4th big disappointments :pac::pac::pac:

Disappointment when there is no money for a close second or fourth unfortunately.

An example of a good losing bet. The average punter is greedy and they focus on one bet. I'll say it again it's all about long term profit. If you are hammering SP you'll do well. Two losing bets yesterday but a 10/1 going off 9/2 clear fav and a 20/1 going off circa 7/1 even allowing for a 25p rule four you will do well in the long run. Lost 200 on that fella yesterday and I'd forgot about it two mins after the race because I know there will be more.
