Opening needed for free standing stove

    Hi.
I have had my fireplace ripped out and the plan is to sit a free standing stove in the opening.
The problem is that the opening is only 45cm across and the narrowest stove i can find is the Heritage Cashel at 42cm wide. I'm looking for a 5kw stove.
Is there a certian distance that you need to have either side of the stove for saftey reasons?
Obviously the closer it is to the corners then the hotter the wall would be.
Worried about this setting the walls on fire!
